Eric K. Dyson Sr. is the president and CEO of Dyson Investigation, a licensed and bonded Private Investigative Company in Central Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and North Carolina. Eric Dyson has thirty-three and a half (33.5) years of law enforcement experience and three (3) years as a private investigator. From 2001 through 2021, Eric Dyson worked in the Auburn Police Department Bureau of Criminal Investigations Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Identification Unit in Massachusetts, retiring as a Detective. 

Eric Dyson has conducted and assisted investigations of, but not limited to, homicide, sexual assault, armed robberies, bank robberies, shootings, stabbings, commercial breaking & entering, residential breaking & entering, narcotic investigations, and fraud investigations. Eric Dyson has performed numerous covert surveillance investigations and has worked undercover. During his law enforcement career, Mr. Dyson conducted and coordinated criminal, non-criminal, and background investigations for the Auburn Police Department and the Auburn Township. Mr. Dyson has performed thousands of interviews during his law enforcement and private investigative career.

While employed as a criminal investigator, Eric was assigned to the Bureau of Criminal Identification Unit and attended several crime scene schools. He attended and graduated from the Bureau of Criminal Identification (BCI) school at the Rhode Island State Crime Laboratory at the University of Rhode Island (URI). At URI, he received training in the theory and practice of crime scene investigation employing the modern techniques of crime scene preservation, crime scene search, and the collection, preservation, and transmission of physical evidence. Emphasis on photography, the development, lifting, and classification of latent fingerprints, and report writing. Specialized crime scene investigation techniques include firearms, arson, sexual assault, and homicide. Examine physical evidence such as firearms, bloodstains, glass, and other trace evidence. Use of digital photography, computer software, alternate light sources, fluorescent powders, and other chemical fingerprint techniques and court room presentations. Eric is a certified crime scene investigator by the Crime Scene Certification Board through the International Association for Identification, Cert# C116401. He is a member of the International Association for Identification, the International Association for Identification New England Division, and the Rhode Island Criminalistics Association.

During Eric's tenure as a criminal investigator, he has interviewed hundreds of victims, witnesses, suspects, potential police, and dispatch candidates. He has worked closely with attorneys to locate and interview persons that have witnessed an event.
